Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative Therapies (RIT)
ALPHA 2 MACROGLOBULIN THERAPY (A2M)
Alpha-2-macroglobulin is a naturally occurring blood human protein which binds with specific damage-causing proteins in injured tissue. After these proteins are “captured” by the A2M, the body eliminates them through the waste process. When a body has excess damaged tissue, the A2M naturally occurring in the tissue is may be missing or significantly reduced.
Therefore, A2M injection into the damaged tissue may help treat joint pain, nerve and tissue pain by potentially reducing inflammation, stimulating new cartilage formation, and decreasing joint friction by production of joint fluid.
PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY (PRP)
These platelets have cytokines growth factors that may help repair injuries and encourage healing
PRP may help treats joint and tissue pain by reducing inflammation, potentially stimulating new cartilage formation, and may reduce joint friction by production of joint fluid.
BONE MARROW ASPIRATE CONCENTRATE (BMAC) INJECTIONS
Similar to Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, BMAC therapy uses cells harvested from the patient’s own body. BMAC is rich in stem cells, which produce growth factors and proteins thought to reduce inflammation and may promote healing.
During BMAC therapy, a patient will receive a local anesthetic near the hip bone. Bone marrow is then extracted from the patient’s hip bone. The extracted cells are placed into a centrifuge and processed. The processed bone marrow concentrate is then injected into the targeted area.. Ultrasound or X-ray guidance is typically by a used doctor for visual guidance to accurately place the injection.
Conditions commonly treated by RIT procedures include
Spinal & Epidural Injections
Sacroiliac & Spinal Facet Joint Injections
Golfer’s Elbow
Osteoarthritis of the Knee, Hip & Shoulder
Tennis Elbow
Radiculopathy (Sciatica)
Ligament, Cartilage, Tendon and Meniscus Injuries
Rotator Cuff Injuries
Lumber Discogenic Degeneration
Shoulder, Hip and Knee Injuries
