Patients with osteoporosis are most at risk for fractures in their spine.  A vertebral compression fracture (VCF) may occur from a traumatic event such as a fall, or something as simple as a bump in the road while driving.  The sudden sensation of back pain for a patient with osteoporosis can be an indication of a VCF.

Balloon Kyphoplasty is a very effective and safe procedure for treating VCF’s.
