Today, Dr. Tatevossian performed an incredibly successful Kyphoplasty procedure. The patient came to Comprehensive Spine & Pain Physicians with severe back pain from a vertebral compression fracture. She had attempted multiple forms of conservative care with little to no success. We chose to preform a balloon Kyphoplasty to help with her pain. Balloon Kyphoplasty is a percutaneous spinal procedure for treating vertebral compression fractures (VCF’s). Balloon Kyphoplasty is a safe, effective, outpatient procedure that can be performed as an out-patient procedure. Typically, Kyphoplasty is a 15-30 min long procedure with a complication rate less than 2 percent.
